Providers need to be familiar with the various therapies that can be added to a treatment regimen in the management of PD and other movement disorders, as well as their indication, drug safety profile including the expected benefits, adverse reactions, and potential drug-drug interactions. Both long-existing and new therapies require an understanding of utilization in conjunction with baseline therapies. Proper and frequent education is required to maintain up-to-date information and knowledge base. Upon completion of this course, HCPs will be able to evaluate the various adjunctive therapy options, classes, and indications for the treatment and management of PD and other movement disorders. HCPs will be able to safely manage and treat patients with PD assessing expected benefits, side effect profiles, and other safety data.
