Providers need to be accustomed to neuroimaging and other diagnostic tools such as skin biopsy for the best efficacy when working towards a challenging diagnosis of a movement disorder. Staying up to date with the latest technologies and diagnostic capabilities often comes through formal education outside of clinic time including live patient demonstrations. Diagnostic tests to review might include A-Synuclein skin biopsy, amyloid blood test, CSF study results, nuclear medicine imaging scans, and clinical assessment tools. Upon completion of this course, HCPs will be able to apply various advanced diagnostic tools to evaluate when to order testing, interpret findings, and appraise indications for diagnosis.
