While memory and cognitive disorders are gaining public familiarity, they are often underrecognized or misunderstood, leading to late or misdiagnoses, and improper management. Providers need to be able to understand the varying factors that can lead to differential diagnosis of dementias, including Alzheimer's disease (AD), other memory disorders, and other disease-related dementias.  This session will provide an overview of understanding diagnostic workup and testing, treatment and management, and research being done on the spectrum of memory disorders from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to Alzheimer’s disease. Upon completion of this course, HCPs will identify characteristics, onset, hereditary risk factors, disease progression, and appropriate current and emerging therapies for management of various memory disorders along the spectrum of MCI to AD.
