Providers performing BoNT injections need a broad understanding of the use of neurotoxins for the treatment of movement disorders including anatomy, identifying injection sites, utilizing effective injection patterns, and proper dosing with reconstitution, when applicable. A lack of training and skill development on botulinum toxin injections reduces the utilization of these therapies by providers and lessens the chance patients will have successful outcomes. Upon completion of this course, HCPs will, through hands-on learning and VR models, recognize the clinical application for BoNT, compare toxin options, select appropriate patients, utilize injection patterns, and perform reconstitution and correct dosing.
